Volleyball Game Preview: Viborg/Hurley Cougars vs. Irene/Wakonda Eagles

Viborg/Hurley hasn't had much luck against Irene/Wakonda recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Viborg/Hurley came up short against Freeman on Monday, falling 3-0.

While Viborg/Hurley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-22.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Irene/Wakonda took on Canistota on Monday. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 25-13 in the first set.

Irene/Wakonda started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-15.

Viborg/Hurley's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Irene/Wakonda, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.
