Soccer Game Preview: Park Vista vs. Olympic Heights

The Park Vista Cobras are taking a road trip to square off against the Olympic Heights Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Park Vista is coming into the game fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Wellington that saw the pair combine for 25 shots on goal. Park Vista came up short against Wellington on Friday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Wolverines are ranked 106th).

Devon Fernandez and Ayden Espinosa scored both of Park Vista's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Olympic Heights challenged Dwyer on Friday. Olympic Heights had just enough and edged Dwyer out 3-2. Enzo Silva had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Lions got from the refs.

The loss snapped Park Vista's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-10 record. As for Olympic Heights, their win bumped their record up to 12-2-1.

Park Vista came up short against Olympic Heights in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Park Vista avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
