Basketball Recap: Catalina Foothills Falcons vs. Cholla Chargers
The Catalina Foothills Falcons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They snuck past Cholla with a 95-91 win. The victory was nothing new for Catalina Foothills as they're now sitting on six straight.
Cholla's loss came despite strong showings from Cyree Jenkins and Michael Payne. Jenkins scored 33 points along with three steals and two blocks, while Payne scored 35 points along with three steals. It was the first time this season that Jenkins posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Jenkins, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Catalina Foothills' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Cholla, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.
Catalina Foothills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cholla also has no future games currently scheduled.
