Basketball Game Preview: Ingalls Bulldogs vs. Quinter Bulldogs

The Ingalls Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Quinter Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ingalls is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Ingalls came up short against Kiowa County and fell 61-50.

Despite their loss, Ingalls saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Breck Averhoff, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance also gave Averhoff a new career-high in assists (six). Logan Simon was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Meanwhile, Quinter played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Hanover, falling 77-48. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Like Ingalls, Quinter lost despite seeing results from several players. Colt Werth led the charge by posting nine points and four steals. Werth is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shea S Salyers, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Quinter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Ingalls, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Ingalls has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Quinter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26 rebounds.
