Soccer Recap: Blue Ridge Early College Takes a Loss

Blue Ridge Early College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 4-2 to the Cherokee Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Cherokee this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in March.

Hope Ward and Isabella Moody scored both of Blue Ridge Early College's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Blue Ridge Early College's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Cherokee, they moved to 6-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Blue Ridge Early College will head out to challenge Highlands at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blue Ridge Early College's defense better be ready for this one: Highlands have averaged an impressive 3.6 goals per game this season. Cherokee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
