Softball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Roxboro Community Bulldogs

Orange has gone 7-2 against Roxboro Community recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Orange Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Roxboro Community Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Orange blew Southeast Alamance out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Southeast Alamance got their revenge. Orange fell just short of Southeast Alamance by a score of 12-10.

Allie Carden and Katie Carden did some serious damage despite the final result: Allie scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Katie scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Allie a new career-high in doubles (two). Sadie Cecil was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Roxboro Community got the win against South Granville on Thursday by a conclusive 16-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Orange's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Roxboro Community, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Orange took their win against Roxboro Community in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2. Does Orange have another victory up their sleeve, or will Roxboro Community turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
