Meridian has gone 9-1 against Pinconning recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Meridian Mustangs will look to defend their home court against the Pinconning Spartans at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Meridian came up short against Clare and fell 40-32. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Pinconning unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Standish-Sterling. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Panthers are ranked 121st).

Meridian now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Pinconning, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.

Meridian barely slipped by Pinconning in their previous meeting back in January, winning 52-51. Will Meridian repeat their success, or does Pinconning have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
