Softball Game Preview: Orange Park Raiders vs. Clay Blue Devils

Orange Park is 2-8 against Clay since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Orange Park is taking a road trip to face off against Clay at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Orange Park lost 15-6 to Menendez last Thursday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zoe Pascoe was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Addison Toledo, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Clay unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Episcopal School of Jacksonville, falling 12-2.

Clay saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaelye Rouw, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Clay's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Orange Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Orange Park might still be hurting after the 15-7 loss they got from Clay in their previous meeting back in February. Can Orange Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
