Baseball Recap: Silsbee Comes Up Short

Silsbee lost against Little Cypress-Mauriceville last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-3. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Ryder Blythe was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Silsbee's loss dropped their record down to 14-9-1. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Silsbee will face off against rival West Orange-Stark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Little Cypress-Mauriceville is set to challenge their familiar foe Jasper at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
