Volleyball Recap: Conway Comes Up Short

Conway managed to slip by Ava the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Conway came up short against Ava on Monday, falling 3-0. Conway just can't catch a break and has now endured six defeats in a row.

Conway was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-12.

Adalee Letterman paced Conway's offense, picking up 12 kills. Letterman got some help from Arianna Hughes and her nine assists. Letterman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Conway's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Ava, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12-2.

Conway has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Dixon on the 14th. As for Ava, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Thayer on the 14th.
