The Covenant School faced New Covenant in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Gryphons 6-3. The result was nothing new for The Covenant School, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit New Covenant with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dre' Headley (4), Max Bachman, and Timothy Vencill.

The win (which was The Covenant School's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4. As for New Covenant, they moved to 12-2-1 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, The Covenant School will host North Cross at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Covenant, they will head out to take on Tandem Friends at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
