Basketball Recap: Postville Comes Up Short

Postville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the New Hampton Chickasaws, falling 65-30. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Chickasaws from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Postville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for New Hampton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Postville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clayton-Ridge at 7:45 p.m. on January 5, 2026. As for New Hampton, they have already played their next game, a 50-49 defeat against Sumner-Fredericksburg on the 20th.
