After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Burges brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Ysleta Indians on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Angelina Alvarez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last seven matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Yoselin Chavira, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Burges' win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Ysleta, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10-1.

Burges will have a chance to go back-to-back against Ysleta: the pair will be back at it again later today.
