Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Pearland

Pearland came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Oilers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2016.

Ethan Sullivan looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cade Adams was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Nicholas Partida was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Pearland's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Pasadena Memorial, they dropped their record down to 9-12-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Pearland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mavericks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
