Softball Game Preview: Pasco Bulldogs vs. Richland Bombers

Pasco is 0-10 against Richland since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bombers at 4:00 p.m. Pasco has given up an average of 17.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pasco is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-0 to Chiawana, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Richland put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hanford a 5-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Ali Evans's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jordan Brannon, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sophia Sams, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Richland's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pasco, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
