Football Recap: Winthrop College Prep Academy Has No Trouble Against Booker

Winthrop College Prep Academy owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 22-0 margin over the Booker Tornadoes. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Spartans just coasted through the last quarter.

Winthrop College Prep Academy found their leader in freshman Maya Degreenia, who rushed for 20 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 121 yards and one touchdown on only nine passes. Degreenia also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending one pass.

Winthrop College Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
