Softball Recap: Glendora Takes a Loss

If Glendora was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Claremont on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tartans fell just short of the Bonita Bearcats by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ryan Torres was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Glendora's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Bonita, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Glendora is set to face off against their familiar foe Walnut at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bonita will square off against rival Ayala at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Bearcats have won five straight at home, while the Bulldogs won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
