            Baseball Recap: Girard Yellowjackets vs. Fairview Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Girard lost against Fairview back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Tigers by a score of  7-6. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Mason Kalicky and  Aidan Maher did some serious damage despite the final result:  Kalicky  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Maher  went 2-for-4 with two  doubles, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.  Ryan St. Julien was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
Girard's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Fairview, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record  this season.
 Girard will host Saegertown  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their  14th straight  win, something the Yellowjackets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fairview, they will head out to  challenge General McLane  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 7.1  runs per game this season.
