Miami hasn't had much luck against Superior recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vandals will host the Panthers at 3:45 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Miami barely beat Wickenburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vandals blew past the Wranglers 10-2 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Vandals' most dominant win of the season so far.

Tessa Roberts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrea Swann, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Mercedes Mata, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Miami kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Superior put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their undefeated season alive. Everything went their way against Duncan as they made off with a 24-3 victory. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Superior's win bumped their record up to 5-0-1. As for Miami, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Miami has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Superior struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Miami suffered a grim 16-6 defeat to Superior when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Will the Vandals have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
