Soccer Recap: Carter Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fulton last Thursday, Carter came back down to earth. The Green Hornets lost 4-0 to the Sevier County Smoky Bears on Tuesday. Carter have struggled against Sevier County recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Carter's loss dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Sevier County, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carter will square off against Halls at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Carter will be up against Halls' rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.21 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sevier County, they will face off against Morristown-Hamblen East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
