MaxPreps Regional Baseball Computer Rankings

Two new teams take over the top spot in the Midwest, Southeast regions.
Two new No. 1 teams grace the regional baseball computer rankings this week, including an improbable state champion.
Catholic (Baton Rouge, La.) captured the Class 5A state championship last week despite being the No. 21 seed at the start of the postseason. Catholic became the lowest seed to ever win a state championship in Louisiana and it debuts this week as No. 1 in the Southwest Region.
Meanwhile Central (Naperville, Ill.) takes over the top spot in the Midwest.
St. John's Prep (Danvers, Mass.), Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) and Pensacola Catholic (Fla.) continue to hold firm at No. 1 in the Northeast, Farwest and South regions respectively.
