Burkburnett is 7-1 against Bridgeport since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulls at 6:00 p.m. Bridgeport took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Burkburnett, who comes in off a win.

Burkburnett's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Lake Worth 19-0. That looming 19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Kennedy Smith and Delaney Reitz were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Smith pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Reitz tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Smith has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Smith scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Reitz scored three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Reitz has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lydia Duff, who went 2-for-3 with seven RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Call, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Springtown, falling 10-3.

Burkburnett is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bridgeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Burkburnett took their win against Bridgeport in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 9-3 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Bulls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
