Baseball Recap: Franklin's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Franklin's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Coronado Thunderbirds 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Thunderbirds back in March, they had to take a 6-4 defeat.

Franklin's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was ADRIAN CHAVIRA, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Franklin's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16-1. As for Coronado, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-9 record.

Looking ahead, Franklin will face off against Montwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coronado, they will take on Pebble Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Thunderbirds surely won't give up without a fight.
