Softball Recap: Rison Takes a Loss

After flying high against Drew Central on Tuesday, Rison came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Quitman Bulldogs on Friday, falling 11-1. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Layne Potter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Rison has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Quitman, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Coming up, Rison will take on Glen Rose at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Quitman, they will face off against West Side at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
