Softball Recap: Goshen RedHawks vs. NorthWood Panthers

Goshen was the 10-0 winner over NorthWood when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Goshen RedHawks fell 10-5 to the NorthWood Panthers on Monday.

Kaelyn Marcum made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Kendall Hodge was another key contributor, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

On NorthWood's side, Adriana Beachy was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits. Beachy has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Beachy was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run.

In other batting news, NorthWood let Leah Rowe and Brooklyn Davis loose on the outfield. Rowe scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Davis went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Sears, who scored two runs while going 4-for-5.
