Tabernacle faced Jacksonville Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Torches lost 54-28 to the Thunder. The Torches haven't had much luck with the Thunder recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Tabernacle's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Tabernacle will face off against Russell Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Torches will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Jacksonville Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
