Cape Hatteras not only won  on Monday, but they posted their biggest win  since October 14, 2024 (when they won  3-0). Everything went their way against the Northeastern Eagles as they made off with  a  3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hurricanes also won the last time the pair played  back in September of 2024.
 Cape Hatteras walked away with the   win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11,  25-17.
Their offense was headlined by  Kyndle Stowe and  Taylor Hickman, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from  Eryn Ratliff and her 19 assists.  Reece Zombro controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
The  victory  got Cape Hatteras back to even at 4-4. As for Northeastern, their loss was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-7.
 Cape Hatteras and Northeastern will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Hurricanes will  take on  rival Columbia  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northeastern is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Currituck County  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
