Soccer Recap: Altamont Comes Up Short

Altamont lost against John Carroll Catholic back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Altamont Knights took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly two goals.

Altamont is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for John Carroll Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altamont will venture away from home to square off against Pell City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pell City knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Altamont likes a good challenge. As for John Carroll Catholic, they will head out to challenge Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
