Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Johnson

After losing to New Providence the last time they met, Johnson decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Crusaders walked away with a 6-2 win over the Pioneers on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Johnson's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for New Providence, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Johnson will square off against Westfield at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Providence, they will challenge Dayton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
