Volleyball Recap: Dominguez Takes a Loss

Dominguez entered their contest against Firebaugh on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Dominguez Dons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Firebaugh Falcons. If the Dons were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dominguez started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-23.

This is the second loss in a row for Dominguez and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Firebaugh, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dominguez will face off against La Mirada at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Firebaugh, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Norwalk at 5:30 p.m.
