Baseball Game Preview: Lawrence County Red Devils vs. Arab Knights

The Lawrence County Red Devils will square off against the Arab Knights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lawrence County is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Ryder Mcgregory was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Jackson Barbin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Arab ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Orange Beach 8-7. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by just one run.

Jackson Cook looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Arab kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Arab has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. Lawrence County's loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
