Baseball Game Preview: Dayton Dust Devils vs. Elko Indians

For the second straight game, Dayton will face off against Elko. The Dust Devils will challenge the Indians at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dayton has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 21.

Dayton lost 9-3 to Elko on Friday.

For Elko's part, Ethan Kraintz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Carter Kidwell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Coy Jones also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Elko kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Elko's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
