Softball Recap: Augusta Takes a Loss

Augusta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-0 to the Bracken County Polar Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Polar Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Bracken County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Augusta will square off against Holmes at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bracken County, they will venture away from home to face off against Lewis County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Polar Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
