Basketball Recap: Bullock County Hornets vs. Handley Tigers
Even though the Handley Tigers scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, the Bullock County Hornets still came out on top. Bullock County had just enough and edged the Tigers out 62-59. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bullock County also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Jaden Taylor was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trevone Palmer, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Bullock County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Handley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-11.
Bullock County is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Handley, they will be playing at home against the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Munford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Tigers are ranked 166th).
