Football Game Preview: Deep Run Wildcats vs. Godwin Eagles + Official Tickets

The Deep Run Wildcats will square off against the Godwin Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Deep Run will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Deep Run turned things around against J.R. Tucker on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 36-0 victory over the Tigers. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Godwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 24-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thomas Jefferson. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly seven points.

Godwin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Deep Run, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-6.
