Softball Game Preview: Glidden-Ralston Wildcats vs. Woodbine Tigers

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats will take on the Woodbine Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Glidden-Ralston will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

If Glidden-Ralston beats Woodbine with 12 runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over Kuemper on Saturday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Woodbine's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against Missouri Valley, falling 17-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Glidden-Ralston's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Woodbine, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Glidden-Ralston might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Woodbine in their previous matchup back in June of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
