Soccer Game Preview: Copper Hills vs. Riverton

Copper Hills is 2-8 against Riverton since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Grizzlies will look to defend their home pitch against the Silverwolves at 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Copper Hills' offense. They fell just short of Salt Lake Academy by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that Copper Hills have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Riverton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Cedar Valley 3-2. Given Riverton's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Cedar Valley are ranked 88th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Copper Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Riverton, the win also got them back to even at 8-8.
