Softball Recap: Rocky Hill Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Rocky Hill proved they can win big on Friday (they won by eight) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Bristol Eastern Lancers 8-7. Those eight runs were actually the fewest the Terriers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Ally Killoran was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliana Incarvito, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

Rocky Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Rocky Hill's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Bristol Eastern, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 7-1.

Looking ahead, Rocky Hill will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Conard at 4:00 p.m. As for Bristol Eastern, they will venture away from home to take on Glastonbury at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
