Softball Recap: Lightridge Find Success

Lightridge owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the South Lakes Seahawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bolts.

The result came thanks to Peyton Robinson's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Riley Thomas was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Maya Thaivalappil was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lightridge's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for South Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lightridge will venture away from home to take on Centreville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Lakes, they will challenge Potomac Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
