Basketball Game Preview: North Eagles vs. Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans

North hasn't had much luck against Ridge Spring-Monetta recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The North Eagles will welcome the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Friday, North humbled Blackville-Hilda with a 70-40 victory. With the Eagles ahead 41-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Kailen Parks continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 36 points and nine steals. Parks is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Angionna Hook, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten steals.

Meanwhile, Ridge Spring-Monetta got the win against Wagener-Salley on Friday by a conclusive 52-26.

Ridge Spring-Monetta is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.9 points per game. As for North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.
