Softball Recap: Milbank Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sisseton on Friday, Milbank came back down to earth. The Bulldogs took a 19-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redfield Pheasants on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Pheasants recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Milbank's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Redfield, they moved to 7-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milbank will venture away from home to face off against Madison on Tuesday. Madison will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Milbank surely won't give up without a fight. As for Redfield, they will face off against Castlewood on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Pheasants' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
