Football Recap: Newaygo Falls Despite Big Games from Camden Reyburn and Trevor Garbrecht + How To Watch

Newaygo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 26-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chippewa Hills Warriors. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Newaygo's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Trevor Garbrecht, who threw for 129 yards and a pair of TDs, and Camden Reyburn, who picked up 48 receiving yards and two scores.

Newaygo's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Chippewa Hills, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
