Basketball Recap: Oxford Prep Comes Up Short

Oxford Prep lost against Falls Lake back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Oxford Prep Griffins took a 43-26 bruising from the Falls Lake Firebirds.

Oxford Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Falls Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxford Prep will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vance Charter at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Falls Lake will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against NCSSM: Durham at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
