Bridge City is 7-2 against Jasper since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bridge City Cardinals will face off against the Jasper Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Jasper took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bridge City, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bridge City took on Silsbee on Tuesday. Bridge City never let Silsbee get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Jasper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 18-3 to Silsbee.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-2. As for Bridge City, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7-1.

Everything went Bridge City's way against Jasper in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Bridge City made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bridge City since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
