Central put their dominant defense on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Auburn Tigers 40-0. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 37 points or more this season.

Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of McKinley McClain and Colby Cook. Cook has been hot recently, having also posted two or more receiving touchdowns the last three times she's played.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Auburn, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Central will challenge rival Smiths Station at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Red Devils 2, the Panthers 5.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Auburn is set to face off against their familiar foe Moody at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th.
