Basketball Game Preview: Roanoke-Benson Rockets vs. Midland Timberwolves

The Roanoke-Benson Rockets will square off against the Midland Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Roanoke-Benson ended up a good deal behind Peoria Christian and lost 63-47. The Rockets have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Midland suffered their biggest defeat since January 7th on Wednesday. They came up short against Fieldcrest, falling 68-44. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 608th, while the Knights are ranked 174th).

This is the second loss in a row for Midland and nudges their season record down to 10-18. As for Roanoke-Benson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-16.
