While Deer Park put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Clarkston. The Stags put the hurt on the Bantams with a sharp 6-0 victory. Considering the Stags have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hailey Thompson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Sammy Fausti was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs. Another player making a difference was Caitlyn Watson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

Deer Park pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Clarkston, they moved to 11-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Deer Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clarkston, they will face off against West Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.11 runs per game on average), something the Bantams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
