The Columbia Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Mattamuskeet Lakers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Columbia and 20 for Mattamuskeet dating back to last season.

Columbia came up short against Cape Hatteras on Monday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-7, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Mattamuskeet lost 3-0 to Bear Grass Charter on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-8, 25-13.

Mattamuskeet's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Columbia skirted past Mattamuskeet 3-2 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
