Baseball Recap: Harlandale Takes a Loss

Harlandale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the MacArthur Brahmas. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Brahmas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in February.

Harlandale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Castro, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Harlandale's record is now 3-15. As for MacArthur, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Harlandale and MacArthur could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Harlandale will square off against Winn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 752 places (1029 vs. 277). Meanwhile, MacArthur (ranked 281st) will meet Smithson Valley (ranked 107th) at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
