Football Recap: Tuckahoe Piles Up the Points Against Edgemont

Tuckahoe put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Edgemont Panthers 42-14. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Panthers are ranked 502nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Declan Connolly was his usual excellent self, rushing for 146 yards and two scores on only 11 carries. Connor Brice was another key player, throwing for 103 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tuckahoe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Tuckahoe's defense and their 4.5 sacks. Edgemont's QB won't forget Logan Bogetti anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

Tuckahoe's record is now 6-0. As for Edgemont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Tuckahoe will take on Bronxville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Broncos have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Edgemont, they will challenge Haldane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils' defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
